About Pierre Lemieux

Welcome! My name is Pierre Lemieux. Thank you for visiting my website.

Fully bilingual and raised in a military family, I understand what it means to serve. My father served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 21 years, which allowed our family to experience life across our great country.

At the age of 17, I made the decision to join the Canadian Armed Forces. By the end of my 20 year career, I had attained the senior rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. I earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Royal Military College, a Master of Science, and I am a Professional Engineer and a certified Project Management Professional.

During my time in service, I met my wife Audrey. We have been blessed with 30 years of marriage and five beautiful children, and we are now the grandparents of two grandsons.  I believe in the sanctity of life from conception through to natural death.

After settling our family in the Glengarry-Prescott-Russell region, we decided to serve our country in a new way, through federal politics. In 2006 I was elected Member of Parliament, serving my constituents for nearly a decade.

It has been an honour and privilege to faithfully serve my country, my community and my family. Canada needs a leader who understands both principled leadership and dedicated service. I believe in freedom of speech and in a strong and healthy democracy in which all issues can be discussed in a respectful manner. That is why I am running to be the new leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.  I am focussed on three key principles:

  • Democracy
  • Family
  • Security
